Five steps to install wordpress locally on Windows Using Wamp Server

Install WordPress on windows computer using wamp server,  if you are completely new on WordPress and want WordPress as your blog so my review is install WordPress on locally and know all WordPress functions first.This Tutorial will Guide You step by step  to Install WordPress on computer using wamp server with help of screen-shot. WordPress Challenge it takes 5 minute to installing and its true, Let see how to install WordPress on computer.

Six Steps to install WordPress Using Wamp server :

  1. download WordPress and wamp server.
  2. setup wamp server
  3. create database.
  4. extract wordpress zip file to wamp server root directory
  5. submit and Fill information

Step 1 : Download wamp server and WordPress latest copy

WordPress Latest Version :-   Download

Download Wamp Server     :-   Download

[Note :- wamp server only running in Windows OS ]

There Is option for if your OS 64bit then Download 64 bit version or if Your OS 32bits then download 32bit version

After Successful download both software follow below step to install WordPress.

Step 2- Install Wamp Server

Set Up your wamp server software Run As admin[in windows 7]

It Install it By default C drive [C:\wamp]

run wampserver

After Successful install of wamp server open wamp server it shows on tray beside of window time and date.

Right click on wamp icon and click on start all service ,

Now Again right click on wamp icon and click local host

[You can Manually start service open Browser and write Localhost in  Address bar]

Your Wamp Server Installed.

Step 3 – Create Database to install wordpress

WordPress Required database. so before install wordpress you must create database its very easy let see how to create database.

To create WordPress database Required MySql.  and  wamp server already include MySql latest version so dont worry just run wamp server and open localhost on your browser.

Now,under the Tools Select phpmyadmin.

Now Click database to create new database

You Can Give Any Name Of database I wrote WordPress And click on Create.

Your Database Created!

After create Successful database, now ready to installing wordpress.

How to install wordpress

Step 4 – Install WordPress locally

For installation WordPress we have to extract WordPress download zip file to root directory of Wamp server.

Extract WordPress zip file To Specific Folder [C:\wamp\www] Under WWW Root Directory.

Now After successful create Database Extract WordPress To Specific Folder .

[C:\wamp\www] Under WWW Root Directory

Now go open localhost. Under Your Projects Option you can see WordPress.

Step 5 : Fill Information and Submit data

Now fill the Detail

Write Database Name – WordPress[If you wrote another database name when create database so you have to write that database name]

Change Username to root.

Leave Password blank [You can give username and password for database it help to protect database]

You can change table prefix.

After Successful Submit Information now Welcome to WordPress fill the information site name , username , and password etc…
